Memory Book

On this day (13.03.2013), I hit my head really hard skiing, which resulted in a severe concussion. Through materiality, typography, and color, this book explores the concept of memory and my personal experience of regaining my memory and cognitive function. The content is a collection of my own emotional memories, words, and data from 3+ months of cognitive testing. Playing with binaries of dark and light, blurry and sharp, the book gives the viewer a dreamlike, non-linear experience of time, reflective of my own experience. The transparent pages allude to hidden messages and puzzles that become more clear as the book goes on.
